December 21, 2018 we have released a new version of Performance Monitor for Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server. The most important functions added in the application are: management of SQL objects, alerts module and presentation OS statistics.
SQL Outline/ Baseline/ Profile Management (Oracle), Plan Guides (SQL Server)
In the new version of the application for Oracle, you can manage objects such as Outlines, Baselines, Profiles. You can search for objects and queries related to objects. A Plan Explorer module has been added for SQL Server. That module allows to manage Plan Guides objects. The module contains the full information about objects changes and their history from the time of implementation.
In the new version of the application, an alert management module has been added. Information about alerts has been gathered in one place. They are now available from the database (Oracle) or SQL instance (SQL Server) details in the Anomaly Monitor menu. The module makes it easier to view and manage alerts that occurred in a database level.
In the Performance Monitor application, the functionality of managing access to screens and functionality has been modified. In the new version has been added a new level of privileges – PROFILE. You can assign permissions to the profile, and then you can easily transfer access by assigning the profile to a user or group of users.
For the Microsoft SQL Server version, information about statistics collected at the operating system level has been added. The application provides information on data such as: CPU Cores, CPU number, Virtual CPU number, Idle Time CPUs, Busy Time (CPUs), User Time (SPUs), Sys Time (CPUs, IO Wait Time (CPUs), or Physical Memory (MB).
The DBPLUS software is updated at least 4 times a year. Customers have access to all updates when they have a license or maintenance service. With the upgrade to the latest version, the application will run faster and smoother. Each published version provides new functionalities that allow for easier management and performance improvement in the monitored database.
